Detective Matt Johnson left the big city, moving to the Town of Pinecrest, with the hopes of slowing life down and raising a family in a safer and quieter community. Things are great for a few years. He buys a cute bungalow and finally starts the family he always knew, deep down, that he wanted.

Then one dark and stormy night, his world begins to unravel when he is called to a suspected homicide on the edge of town. What he experiences that night will change him and his perception of the world forever. He will hunt for answers in a case that is quickly going cold. How much will he uncover?
