“From the eerie opening tale to the grisly closer, and all of the wonderfully mean-spirited tales in-between, Wrathbone is a winner!” –Jeff Strand, author of Dead Clown Barbeque

“This is horror of the mind at it’s very best . . . Very dark, very atmospheric, very powerful writing. Excellent stuff . . . Only the second time ever that I have given every story in a collection five stars. This one is going to be hard to beat.” –Nev Murray at Confessions of a Reviewer and Scream Magazine

“Wrathbone and Other Stories is a hard-hitting collection that you can completely immerse yourself in. The title story is a beautifully written period tale of love and tragedy.” –Mercedes M. Yardley, author of the Bram Stoker Award winner Little Dead Red.

“Jason Parent channels the darkness. Wrathbone and Other Stories offers a glimpse into the twisted mind of a gifted storyteller, whose characters are every bit as vivid as the demons that haunt them. Parent’s definitely an author to watch!” –Michael McBride, author of Subterrestrial and Burial Ground

“An elegantly written novella of madness, murder, and demons, Jason Parent’s Wrathbone reads like Edgar Allan Poe’s take on ‘Jacob’s Ladder.'” –Adam Howe, author of Tijuana Donkey Showdown, Die Dog or Eat the Hatchet, and Black Cat Mojo

A Horror Novel That Will Keep You At The Edge Of Your Seat

One night, Aaron and Dana go swimming in a man-made lake that sits on an allegedly uninhabited property. They think it’s strange that the entrance to the lake has two tall pillars that they have only seen before on graveyard gates. But it doesn’t stop them from going in.
They are never seen alive again.

A year later, Todd Holloway, a struggling musician, moves into the house with the man-made lake. Aside from an eerie feeling he gets from the property, it’s his dream house. He jumps at the opportunity to buy it at a significantly reduced price.

After Todd moves in, he begins to suffer from intense visions, vivid nightmares, and other strange occurrences.

To his horror, he eventually comes to the realization that his new house used to belong to a corrupt cemetery owner who still seems to inhabit the place. He eventually decides to investigate the underwater territory himself, but it’s very dangerous.

Step by step, he begins to put the pieces of the puzzle together. But the more of it he puts together, the more the cemetery owner seems to retaliate. As things escalate, Todd finds not only himself in danger, but many others as well.

He needs to stay sharp, but it’s not easy since the cemetery seems to have eyes and ears. It never sleeps. It just watches and waits for the right moment.

Notre-Dame Cathedral lies in ruins. The mangled corpses of the possessed are scattered in the shadows beneath the pulverized Gothic towers. This is the aftermath of the Manifestation.

Satan has revealed himself to the world, which falls trembling at his feet. Religious genocide sweeps Europe and Asia, and the world’s greatest fortresses of faith are smashed to the ground. The New World and Australia become safe havens for refugees fleeing Lucifer’s wrath.

Heaven remains silent. The followers of Christ cry out: Where is God?

Patric Bourdon believes in himself. He claims to be a member of the Church of Satan, but in reality, it is his own hedonism that drives him. His zealous and pregnant fiancée waits patiently for him to “man up” and take responsibility for his impending family, but the lure of drugs and debauchery proves too strong…

Until Patric receives a command that he cannot refuse.

Tourec, his self-righteous half-brother, has begun a campaign of terrorism against the forces of darkness. The Church of Satan is paralyzed with fear as Tourec and his band of rogue assassins seek vengeance for the evils that Lucifer has wrought upon the earth, and Patric is commanded to seek out and neutralize his brother by any means necessary…

Or his fiancée and unborn child shall perish.

THE AGE OF APOLLYON will shock and thrill those who enter its world…and this is just the beginning…

DESCRIPTION:

On a scorching hot summer day in Elkwood, Alabama, Claire Lambert staggers naked, wounded, and half-blind away from the scene of an atrocity. She is the sole survivor of a nightmare that claimed her friends, and even as she prays for rescue, the killers — a family of cannibalistic lunatics — are closing in.

A soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder returns from Iraq to the news that his brother is among the murdered in Elkwood.

In snowbound Detroit, a waitress trapped in an abusive relationship gets an unexpected visit that will lead to bloodshed and send her back on the road to a past she has spent years trying to outrun.

And Claire, the only survivor of the Elkwood Massacre, haunted by her dead friends, dreams of vengeance… a dream which will be realized as grief and rage turn good people into cold-blooded murderers and force alliances among strangers.

It’s time to return to Elkwood.

In the spirit of such iconic horror classics as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Deliverance, Kin begins at the end and studies the possible aftermath for the survivors of such traumas upon their return to the real world — the guilt, the grief, the thirst for revenge — and sets them on an unthinkable journey… back into the heart of darkness.
