DESCRIPTION:

Twelve strangers wake up in a strange house with no memory of how they got there, and barely any recollection of who they are. They quickly learn that there is no way out, scarcely enough food and water to go around, and eerie music plays constantly in the background of every room. There is nothing to explain their mysterious incarceration except for a few scattered clues, a strange clock with twenty-four numbers and one single hour hand, and a leather-bound sheet of rules that makes their situation all the more fatal.

The House Rules:

Rule one: No escape. You can't leave, plain and simple. Try to escape and you won't like what you find on the other side.

Rule two: Make what you have last. Whatever food and water you currently find in the house is all that you will be provided with during your stay. No more will be given to you under any circumstance.

Rule three: When the music stops, someone must die. The music you can all hear in the background will cease between the hour of twenty-three and twenty-four; when this happens someone must die. Failure to comply with this rule will result in everyone's death.

Rule four: Only one, and only when the music stops! One death, and only one death, must occur in the allotted time between the hour of twenty-three and twenty-four. Again, failure to comply with this rule will result in everyone's death.

We hope you have a pleasant stay, and don't forget: Redemption is the key to escape.

DESCRIPTION:

It's Halloween in Hill Haven Creeps, and the All Hallows Eve Midnight Traveling Spook Show has come to town. Empty tents flap in the breeze, but there's no sign of the carnies.

For a group of close friends, the festivities have just begun. A masked figure haunts Trevor Sheevis in every reflection. Cole Reagor's dream of being a stand-up comedian suddenly isn't so funny, and Tommy Gallaghan's cell phone makes ominous threats.

At school, Angela Rayburn is smiling at Mathew Potts, and for Ashley Gifford, the monster he fears most sleeps under his very same roof.

When their friend, Steven Delhomme, turns up missing, their worst fears come true.

The smell of autumn leaves is in the air, the first pumpkins are aglow, and the crows are gathering in the cornfields. The moon is full, and something is visible beyond the veil between the living and the dead calling itself the Scarecrow King.

As Halloween approaches, the dead exchange places with the living, and the All Hallows Eve Midnight Traveling Spook Show opens its doors.

In Hill Haven Creeps, every fear will come to life, and every dream will turn into a nightmare.

But will Halloween will have the final say?

Or is something more ominous on the night wind?

Toy Land

There they were, just as he remembered. Rooms and rooms of them. Dolls. Toy soldiers. Clowns. When he was a kid, his Aunt Cary's toy collection should have been a child's paradise. But instead he had been terrified by their staring eyes . . .

Toy Hell

Twenty years had passed since Jay Clute set foot in Victory, Missouri. Twenty years of trying to forget that night--that hellish night of unimaginable horror. Now his Aunt Cary was dead, and it's all been left to him--the house, the furniture, every last piece of her toy collection. And nothing has changed. Not the painted-on dolly smiles or the garish clown colors--or the tiny hands dripping with bright red blood . . .

A spellbinding thriller from the bestselling author of The Einstein Prophecy.

A chilling curse is transported from 1880s London to present-day California, awakening a long-dormant fiend.

While on routine patrol in the tinder-dry Topanga Canyon, environmental scientist Rafael Salazar expects to find animal poachers, not a dilapidated antique steamer trunk. Inside the peculiar case, he discovers a journal, written by the renowned Robert Louis Stevenson, which divulges ominous particulars about his creation of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It also promises to reveal a terrible secret--the identity of Jack the Ripper.

Unfortunately, the journal--whose macabre tale unfolds in an alternating narrative with Rafe's--isn't the only relic in the trunk, and Rafe isn't the only one to purloin a souvenir. A mysterious flask containing the last drops of the grisly potion that inspired Jekyll and Hyde and spawned London's most infamous killer has gone missing. And it has definitely fallen into the wrong hands.

A plot of ground in Prescott Park is messing with Cal Hart's head. Ever since hearing the rumor of what happened on the land now covered by a toolshed, he's become obsessed with the urban legend. Children don't just disappear after being pushed into barren soil, not even when that soil is nicknamed ‘the place where nothing grows'. But one did, and so he turns to the local sheriff's office for assistance. The authorities are adamant that nothing supernatural was at work, and that it was a transient with a long record of arrests that got hold of the diminutive second-grader and lured her away from home. But a town historian disputes the sanitized version of the incident and hints that more sinister forces are to blame--sinister forces that are yet to be named. Because of the confusion and his own need to know, Cal launches his own investigation.

The appearance of a raincoated man complicates everything. He's been watching the children in the park play and burying toys around the area where the child fell. Cal digs up the items in an attempt to understand, but is threatened instead. The man deemed crazy orders Cal to leave the offerings alone, and that if he doesn't, his children could be next. With the cryptic warning ringing in his ears, Cal steps up the quest for answers as if his life depends on it, and the problem is--it does.

Venture into the world of classic horror. Written with nightmares in mind, if the suspense doesn't get you, the ending will.
