DESCRIPTION:

Dale and Lucy are two students with a fascination in the supernatural. One weekend, they travel to Sker House, South Wales, a private residence with a macabre history which has recently been converted into a seaside inn. They plan to write an article for their university magazine about a supposed haunting, but when they arrive, they meet a landlord who seems to have a lot to hide. Soon, it becomes apparent that all is not well at Sker House. An air of oppression hangs over it, while misery, tragedy and ill-fortune are commonplace. Gradually, it becomes clear that the true depth of the mystery goes far beyond a mere historical haunting. This is a place where bad things happen, and evil lurks.

Little by little Dale and Lucy fall under Sker's dark spell, and as they begin to unravel the mysteries of the past, they realize that nothing stays buried forever.

Welcome to Sker House, a place where past and present collide.

"Sker House is a good, old fashioned ghost story that you'll enjoy from beginning to end."

DESCRIPTION:

Sakima, New York, a sleepy, idyllic city nestled in the Hudson Valley, a place where everyone knows each other, families look after the highly prized community garden, and the crime rate is so low that Dr. Laura Powell, the police department's medical examiner, spends most of her time tending to her own private medical practice.

That changes drastically the day a local high school student is found dead, an apparent suicide. Called in to perform the autopsy, Laura uncovers a strange growth inside the body, composed of a mysterious substance she can't identify. Enlisting the aid of her scientist ex-boyfriend, Booker Coates, Laura launches an investigation that leads to a horrifying discovery.

Something deadly has taken root in Sakima, an organism whose toxic influence spreads like a disease through the population, dangerously altering minds and dominating wills, a ruthless intelligence that demands obedience. As more and more townspeople fall under its control, forming violent mobs to seek out those who remain uninfected, Laura and Booker must find a way to stop it before they become its next victims. But how can they stop something they don't understand?

DESCRIPTION:

In this "shocker from [a] horror maestro," a grieving family's inheritance stirs the past and brings out the dead (Publishers Weekly).

After the sudden death of their youngest child, Josh, Jenna and David Kellar need a fresh and healing new start. When Jenna is bequeathed her estranged father's home in the coastal town of Eureka, California, it's the opportunity the Kellars, their son Miles, and Jenna's elderly mother have been looking for. And the last thing they expected. The house has been waiting for them, and so have those who still walk there in the dark.

There are the children seen playing in the backyard--at once innocent and terrifying; the noises and music that rattle the walls; the man who appears in Miles's bedroom at night, watching over him with an unhealthy obsession. But when Jenna sees Josh, she fears that she's either losing her mind or someone is playing a very sick game. For a local psychic, it's neither--it's a warning. For the Kellars, the past isn't dead. In fact, it's just starting to come alive.

A Bram Stoker Award finalist for Live Girls, "Garton shows a sure hand in . . . mixing The Amityville Horror, Poltergeist and Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door" (Bookgasm). A winner of the World Horror Convention's Grand Master Award, Garton is in the company of such recipients as Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, Clive Barker, and Richard Matheson.
