DESCRIPTION:

Delicious chocolate chips braiinnnz. Do you think that if zombies had enough presence of mind to cook, that they'd bake things out of brains? We can imagine there being zombie bakeries, where they whip up brain-shaped cupcakes with frosting made from blended parietal lobe. (Don't knock it until you've tried it. It really adds a certain zing to cream cheese frosting. Way better than nutmeg, IMNSHO.) And of course, there'd have to be chocolate chip cookies with chunks of medulla oblongata. OMG, delish. Are you hungry all of the sudden? We are... Just crack open this zombie head, reach inside, and grab some cookies. We recommend at least 3. You don't taste the first one, the second one is good but leaves you hungry, and the third one is the most satisfying. Maybe four cookies if you're extra hungry, but five is right out. You want to stay fit enough to do your cardio (rule #1).

Would you sell your soul to have anything you wanted?

Adam Prescott has everything; he's earning big money as an emergency specialist at one of Boston's biggest hospitals, he has a fancy apartment in Beacon Hill, everything is working out fine.

But when his girlfriend dumps him, it hits him harder than he expected, and he lets himself spiral. On the advice of his boss he takes a sabbatical in rural Mexico - a place where they still believe in magic - and in witches.

A mysterious figure called the Black Crow tells him he can cast a spell and give him anything - anything - he wants ... and though he doesn't really believe in any of it, Adam is tempted.

Anything at all?

Okay, he says. Okay get me my girlfriend back.

And that's when the nightmare starts.

From the witch markets of Mexico City to the ancient valleys along the Guatemalan border, places still haunted by the statues and ruins of the Olmecs, he is drawn deeper into a world he doesn't understand and comes to question everything he once believed.

Are witches just superstitious nonsense? Or is there such a thing as real evil in the world?

The Black Witch of Mexico is a chilling psychological thriller where nothing is quite what it seems.

So be careful what you wish for - you might just get it.

DESCRIPTION:

The world is lying to you. Is that news? It must be very upsetting.

Richard Fitcher found it upsetting.

He's a witch hunter who doesn't believe in witches, and tonight he's taking a reporter and her cameraman on a witch hunt. He's all ready to jazz it up with spooky noises and a gimmicky magic ritual that locates witches. People like that kind of crap, right? But there's a problem.

It worked this time.

So now Richard is forced to call up old knowledge and power he didn't believe to be real, challenging things that crawled out of the pit, if he has any hope of surviving the night. But this loser might actually find some value--the pit does have a tendency to shave off your uneven edges--if it doesn't kill you.

Either way, it's a lovely night for a witching.

DESCRIPTION:

It's the last night of the Harvest Fair Carnival. The air is cool and the sky is filled with stars as Charlotte and her boyfriend, Mitchell, walk through the cemetery to get to the fair before it's gone for another year. The moonlight illuminates the headstones with an eerie glow as Mitchell talks about The Doll House--a dark ride that hasn't been seen in almost forty years, but is featured at the carnival this year. He also tells Charlotte about R. Wodehouse, the notorious magician who is thought to be responsible for hundreds of disappearances in their town.

Charlotte wants to have fun with Mitchell but has bad memories of the fair--things that happened when she was a little girl. She's hoping this year will be different, that she and Mitchell will finally have a nice time together--something that hasn't happened for a long time. Unfortunately, everything changes when Charlotte sees a giant doll head looming over the fairgrounds at the end of the midway. The Doll House. It's the main event as far as Mitchell is concerned, and she knows she won't be able to avoid riding through with him.

Charlotte is wary as she approaches the building with disturbing images painted on the side and the creepy magician standing at the entrance. She's frightened of the way he stares at her with his hypnotic, black eyes--eyes that draw her in and make it impossible for her to turn back. But Charlotte should be wary, because once she enters the world inside The Doll House--through the pitch-black hole of the gaping mouth--she realizes she may never leave.
